1 Translation

Translations of patent application specification forms, priority certificates, intermediary treatments and patent publications for Japanese firms' foreign applications and for foreign firms' applications in Japan, for electrical items, machinery, automobiles, semiconductors, communication related products, chemicals, medical and biological products, and their related fields, for patent offices and corporate intellectual property departments.
2) Medical
Mainly involves creating clinical research plans for pharmaceutical firms at the drug development stage, research reports, academic articles, new drug application material for submission to the FDA or MHLW for drug introduction and derivation, post-marketing ADR reports, academic literature translation, checking translated documents, and mechanical creation and printing with DTP editing.
In addition, this field includes translation of application material for medical equipment to the FDA or MHLW, manuals, and documents related to chemical products and agrochemicals.
3) Industrial
For companies exporting and importing electrical items, machinery, automobiles, semiconductors and communication related products, translation of technical specifications, standards, instruction manuals, and quality control documents, as well as mechanical creation and printing of translated documents with DTP editing.

4) Financial
Translation of market analysis reports, corporate performance and financial analysis materials, operational reports, human resource information, marketing materials and other reports, as well as mechanical creation and printing of translated documents with DTP editing, mainly for financial institutions (such as banks, securities firms and insurance firms) and manufacturers.
2. Other Operations
1) On-site translator/interpreter
Temporary staff placement of translators to work on-site with clients for work on documents that cannot be outsourced. Interpreters are also available for meetings and negotiations, factory tours, etc.
2) Honyaku Center Academy
Aiming to nurture technical translators Honyaku Center Academy offers correspondence courses in the industrial (beginner/expert) and medical (beginner/expert) fields. The Academy implements schooling as part of the follow-up process and uses practical material to train translators that will be ready to step into actual translation work.
